heres the problem. i just invested about 350 in a 6800gt around december. its an agp version. i got a neo2plat that sucks...it doesnt work and the bugs with it are endless. i have rma'ed it to msi and got it back w/ the same bugs. its a revision 1A. i sorted change this morning and i found i had exactly $99. so with that pocket change i want to get a new mobo.

Want List

1. Good overclocker
2. As few bugs as possable
3. Must be under $99
4. Must be AGP
5. Must be socket 939
6. Must support the ram in my sig
7. On Newegg

any suguestions would be VARY appreciated

Abit AV8. Based off the VIA chipset. If you really don't like your Neo2, which is probably the best AGP/939 board out there, this is the next-best. :)

Buy from the FS/FT forum. I picked up a brand new Asus A8N-E for $100 shipped over a month ago and I've had 0 problems. I'm sure you can find a good deal in there. The good thing about buying used parts from reputable sellers is that you know they'll work right, and if not, you'll be entitled to a full refund.

Sorry to hear about your Neo2 problems. It's an awesome board, but it's definitely not without a few bugs.
If not the Neo2, then I would definitley get the Epox 9NDA3+. I don't think you'll find a better one for <$100.

ABIT is probably your best bet ;).

The DFI NF3 board def has tons of problems. I wouldn't suggest it.
I gotta agree - if you want you can wait till they get the kinks worked out. It was just liked the DFI NF4 board....lots of bugs, but with the newer bioses it's been awesome.

just get an A8V and call it a day. fairly no frills, but stable and reliable. (I've used a couple, with success)

I would probably get the Epox. The DFI is another good choice, but may require some tweaking like most DFI boards so it may not be for you.

I hear this all the time, yet every single VIA board I've used has worked great for me. In what ways are VIA chipsets "garbage"?

WTF do people think via chipsets are garbage? I heard people are happy with their AX8 motherboards. Even though they are somewhat behind in support (Dual core and SATAII supposedly supported but not), they are great overclockers and work fine.

I wouldn't say hey are garbage, but as a whole they do not OC nearly as well as the nForce boards.

call msi and tell them on the phone about your problems and that you do not want another one of the same revision. express your frustration and the fact that you want to use their product but are not able to because the board you received back from an rma is still a pos. they should take care of you.

be like that guy who turned in a defected 3200+ winnie or something like that and came back with a 3800+ newcastle, curtesy of AMD.
