I think that explains the price. The game would be pretty worthless without the multiplayer (it doesn't have a single-player campaign that I could tell?), and the game is old enough to where nobody plays it anymore. I normally jump at these deals, but passed over this one because of the lack of single player.
 
this was the game that got me into the multiplayer battlefields... the winter of 2006.. i remember it well... walked into bestbuy, they had it for half off.. i thought to myself "what the hell, might as well try it"
