I'm having problems with my system (starting windows, freezes, etc.)since installing a usb cable modem. I know that it isn't the best choice in a modem but it's what the cable co gave me. Is there a way to set the IRQ's and maintain the same settings to keep the system stable or is it what ever the OS choses each time it starts?
Or is this even the problem, most of the freezes happen within 30 to 60 sec after starting windows, when I'm say looking in device manager for conflicts😉. It sounds crazy but if I start a program like CPU stability test or even the screen saver and let it run for 5 min or so it dosen't freeze and then usually runs OK??
