I've got them all. Figure I'll use Windows Server 2003 for dual and quads, unless Linux gets the nod, too. Thought singletons might benefit from 98lite.
Like Garry said it depends on the project they will be running. If it is SETI then use Windows 2000 for sure. For other project I'm not so sure but I think with some projects the linux clients aren't optimized to much but it is all very project specific.
Each Seti Work Unit has an "angle range" (AR), which is the angle from which the data was recorded. The "average" is 0.417. As you go higher, the WU completes faster, and as you go lower, it takes longer to complete. Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 don't take as much as a "hit" as Windows 9x based systems do.
