I want to hop onto this bandwagon, anybody with a game fish recipe, post it here, and I'll put it up on my site. Game fish as in - bass, trout, salmon, catfish, crappie, blue gill, etc. even carp if you have one.
Fish is my favorite food to cook. Here is one of my favorite salmon recipies from Cooking Light magazine. It is SUPER easy and is SUPER good. This is best used when real salmon is in season (ie. sockeye, silver, king). I had it a few nights ago with Atlantic salmon and it was quite tasty. It will slightly blacken around the edges because of the sugar....have no fear though....it will taste amazing 🙂
Broiled Salmon with Honey and Vermouth

INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons dry vermouth or white wine
1-1/2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger
1-1/2 teaspoons country-style Dijon mustard
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets (about 1 inch thick)
Cooking spray - I never use cooking spray. Just set the fillet on a piece of foil. The skin will stick to the foil and you use a spatula to get the meat, leaving the skin behind.

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat broiler.

Combine first 6 ingredients in a small bowl; stir with a whisk. Place salmon on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray; brush with half of honey mixture. Broil 8 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, basting frequently with remaining honey mixture.

Spagetti (sp?) sauce:

As much ground beef as you want.

Cook till browned.

Add 5-10 cloves of garlic (I'm a garlic lover 🙂)

Add cans of tomato sauce.

Add spices till it tastes good.

Add a bit of balsamic vinegar.

No salt.

Hey, works for me 😛. I've cooked a ton of homemade spagetti, and it always tastes pretty good, but I've never thought about how I cook it.

I cook the same way, but I add 1 can of Italian stewed tomatoes, and sometimes sugar.

OK, I'll start it off by saying I'm not vegetarian, but I made this for lunch, and it is one of the tastiest thing's I've ever made:

1 Mushroom Gardenburger
1/2 cup hummus
1 cup baby leaf spinach
1 pita
Olive oil

Cook Gardenburger in olive oil
Pat a little olive oil on each side of pita and brown in skillet
Place spinach on pita, hummus on spinach, gardenburger on hummus
Enjoy!

I prefer to make my own hummus over store-bought, here's a recipe; its really easy and lasts awhile in the fridge:

1 can garbanzo beans(chick peas)
1/4 cup olive oil
splash of water
4-6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp chili powder
juice of 1 lemon

Throw everything in a food processor until smooth.
