980X Overclock Voltage

What kind of voltage is everyone running on this cpu to overclock, 4.0ghz and up? And for the people on air, inside a case, what are your temps like?

It's not really worth anything to get other peoples opinions. Lots of people do incorrect stability testing, so the numbers they post are flat out ridiculous and unstable. The temps also depend on what cooler is being used, and most people buying a $1000 processor will not be using stock cooling, so that's another variable.

Anand's article says it goes to 3.5ghz at stock voltage. 4.1ghz was max overclock at 1.359V

Keep in mind the number shown in cpu-z and the actual voltage are quite different. For example, my bios is set to 1.5V for the computer I'm using right now, but cpu-z says 1.457
I guess that would put Anand's voltage at maybe 1.4 in bios?

I understand cooling is subjective in every system.

Right now, I am 18 hours into P95 with 1.25 set in bios, and 1.28 showing in CPUZ with max temp of 73C using my H50.

I figure give it another 20 hours of p95, and another day of LinX testing and call it stable. I might also see if I can Fold for a week with no reboots.

For testing, all I did was raise the multi on the cpu.

it depends on your mobo as well. asus mobos have load line calibration, which helps to prevent huge the big vdroops that you see on many mobos. be warned, however, that if you are inexperienced it can cause more problems than it fixes.
