9800XT VGA Silencer

I recently bought both a Radeon 9800XT and an arctic-cooler VGA Silencer Rev. 3. Unfortunately, as many of you probably already know, they arent compatible. Anyone know of any similar products I could buy? Thanks

Better keep the stock fan on it for now.

I have a Zalman from a Sapphire 9800 Ultimate, and it has no problem cooling my 9800 Pro @ 420/365 with a Panaflo L1a as a side case fan. 🙂

Not to mention it'll take you ages to find somewhere that sells it (though it will be a good cooler).

#1. That product is not for sale, you can't comment on it. This is not the ZM80C-HP. This one has dual heatpipes, ala the thermaltake giant.

#2. The ZM80C-HP has no problem running a highly overclocked r9800 pro fanlessly in a near silent system.

Maybe if you had one, you'd know. I have both the ZM80C-HP and the VGA Silencer. Both good coolers, for different situations.

I had one on a 9800 non pro & it was running very hot, that's why I recommended he kept his stock cooler for now until a VGA silencer is available for his card.

The chip or the ZM80?

I've been using a Zalman ZM80C-HP on a Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro for a while now in an Antec Sonata case with minimal airflow. No problems there. The availability of Zalman products really depend upon your geographical location, as there's never really a shortage around here, even though they're the current crazy.

I'd recomment it any day of the week.
