9800SE with a Processor Heatsink

I have a 9800SE and it is overheating like crazy. Its not overclocked or anything. I was in the middle of playing FarCry and it froze and came up with an error from the video card. I guess it got too hot or something. Someone told me they've heard of peple putting processor heatsinks on their video cards and it's worked. They just glued it on with thermal grease. Do you guys think it will work?
P.S.- If it wont work I'll just buy a video card cooler for it

By one of the Artic cooling heatsinks that its designed for your card.

I woulding go making custom heatsinks for it.....

Just use some zips ties and AS5. May have to rig a bracket so the card doesnt bend😉

get a zalman vf700 if its made for thr 9800 or ati silencer.

yup, my friend modded a processor heatsink to his 9800se. it worked great for a while, maybe like a year or so. then he gave it to my friend because he upgraded his card and it started overheating like crazy. it looked pretty funny.
