9800 pro has 256bit memory but 6600GT only has 128bit. why 6600GT performs way better than 9800 pro? i know 6600GT has like 1000mhz memory clock when 9800 pro has only 680. does it matter? if not, what matters most? bus width or memory clock?

The 6600gt performs about 5-40% better depending on the game, resolution, and AA/AF

but the 6600GT is cheaper and better

The 6600Gt just has a newer architexture (I can't spell:p). It's more effecient, and it is physically faster than the 9800Pro. Plus, it's cheaper. Just get a 6600GT, best bang-for-the-buck card out there right now.

The X600 sux. It only has 4 pixelpipes, where the 6600GT has 8. The X700 is more in the 6600GTs class, but current generation ATI mid-range cards are only found in PCI-E flavor.

The 6600GT is much (25%) faster than the 9800 Pro, and about twenty bucks cheaper too depending on where you look. The plain 6600 and the X600 are more around 9800 Pro speeds, and are half the price.
