I'm surprised that I get a high choke when only playing CS. However I don't really know what choke technically is. Is it high because I sofmodded my pro to an xt? How would I go about lowering my choke. It ususally hangs around 100.

Choke is the inablity to upload packets. It isn't a videocard issue, it is a network issue. If you have a firewall or router, try bypassing them.

Default clientport in cs is 27005. But then again choke is the upload so I'd think the issue would be on 27015 or whatever the servers port is. Then again it could just be an issue with your connection, I can't say I have ever tried to use cs though a firewall.

Steam has issues with firewalls, and everyone I talked to on Steam turns them off.

Cool, thanks for the info TheSnowman. I think my SP2 firewall might be automatically enabled. Now that I think about it, the problem didn't start until after the upgrade to SP2. It doesn't help that my D-Link router goes in and out when I run BitTornade. I've been meaning to update the router's firmware, would this help at all you think?

EDIT: btw TheSnowman, maybe you should consider using my drawing in the avatar. It does completely match your name.
