Hey all!
My brand new Connect3d 9800 pro is freakin out!
When I first put it in, in windows, it was doing this weird wipe down the screen like a slow refresh...
then it totally scrambled the picture...
so i reset and it did it once more...
reset again and it was ok, but when i try and play doom3, it does the vpu recover thing.
and sometimes it doesn't do the vpu recover, it just goes black, music carries on for a bit, then the whole system gives up.
The biggest shock was when my system just reset of it's own accord! It sounded like it was powering down at first, but then it came back on.
Now i have a feeling it's my power supply, even though it's P4 approved. I can't remember what power rating it is though. I've got a hard drive, floppy, DVD and CDRW in and i used to have a zip drive too with no problems, but i'm guessing a graphics card wants more juice than a zip drive?
Any ideas anyone?
