9800pro low preformance

I have a 9800 pro and ran 3dmark03 and was getting around 2000-3000 and i know that is awful. What would cause it? Using omega 3.10 drivers. i ran memtest86 and didnt get no problems but will run Prime95 and it will fail. CPU? or my crappy psu? or video card?

Are you sure that's a 9800pro and not a 9800SE?
The 9800SE scores around your mark.
You should be getting 4500-5500 range with a pro.
maybe you got jacked? Where'd you buy the card from?
Other than a sticker on the back, the SE model looks almost
identical to the pro.

Either you mistakenly bought a 9800SE, or you have full AA/AF enabled, you should check the control panel...

Then turn it off. If you have it on, it caps your FPS at whatever your refresh rate is, hosing your score in several of the tests.

Also, if Prime95 is failing, your system is unstable. It's usually too much of an overclock on the FSB or CPU core, or memory timings that are too tight (they'll work in memtest, but fail when the CPU is also under load).

What can i do to make it stable?

Well, since the instability is probably from too much of an overclock or memory timings that are too tight, I might suggest, oh, I don't know, lowering the overclock and/or loosening the memory timings? That's just me. 😛

Just a reminder even though it's tough to happen. Is agp texture acceleration enabled?

What is that? Where is the option located?
Start | Run | in Run type "dxdiag" and click OK | DirectX Diagnostic Tool will open | click on the Display tab in the menu | look under "DirectX Features" at the bottom | AGP Texture Acceleration is in there.

I've got a 9800NP flashed to pro and all of my DirectX Features are enabled with no problems. My 3DMark2K3 score is around 6200 but I've got it overclocked to 409 core / 391 memory. I haven't benchmarked at default speeds in a while but I think it was around 5300 or so.
