9800pro - ATi, Crucial or Sapphire?

After lenghy search for best UK prices for a 9800pro, I've come up with:

Crucial £261 [from Crucial]
ATi £277 [from Scan]
Sapphire £284 [from Addon]
(prices include shipping etc)

Given the cards are practically identical and I've no interest in bundled software (prob all OEM versions anyway), and especially that I've bought from Crucial with good service before, Crucial looks like the winner.

Only thing thinking about is how well the cards overclock? crucial lists the memory as 2.8 which should do 357 (barely worth bothering with tbh), but what about the other two? Enough overclocking increase in the sapphire to justify spending the extra price of a game?

😉 Without looking in to it indepth I'd say go Crucial ... free shipping too! All 9800pro cards should be virtually identical in all important aspects including how well they o/c. I would suggest checking out www.dabs.com and www.komplet.co.uk before making your purchase.

The Crucial 9700Pro I own is manufactured by Sapphire. Just FYI...........I thought they made their own but aparently not.

i was under the impression theyre all made by sapphire, including the ATi one. Or anyway theyre all the ati reference board and only diff would be the cooling (even there probs just the sticker on the fan), leaving the only real difference being the memory chips. i left out powercolor because (surprsingly tbh) those 3 are cheaper [dabs has it for £289+pnp] powercolor review which said the normal one overclocked horribly, i havent seen any gold version over here. ditto for connect3d [£288+pnp @ dabs ]. herculese is way more expensive, typically £320-350. dabs actually has the crucial card listed cheaper than crucial by about £5, but after adding £3 shipping and subtracting 5% crucial coupon, crucial is £10 cheaper. Oh yes, Ive looked far and wide for the better prices 😛

so, back to square 1, i'm looking mostly for overclock potential 😉 the ns of the ati & sapphire memory will do 😀

the UK ppl might be interested in this, i just zipped up the computery section of my "shopping" folder in IE favourites. lot of good stores in there for one reason or another (tend to check the "overclock" ones plus dabs + ebuyer most).

Overclockers UK Sell alot of Radeon cards, from multiple companies, and cheaper than most places.
As for ATi vs Crucial vs Sapphire.
ATI = Overpriced.
Crucial = Identical to ATI cards, cheaper, no bundle.
Sapphire = Identical to ATI cards, sometimes cheaper, has bundle.

Davegod,I would just go with the Crucial model being it has the best price,as to OC well you never know what the card will do, even cards from the same brand so no guarantees as they say, however you can choose the price of your next card 😉.

True.
But not alot of people know that Sapphire make alot of the "built by ATI cards", and then ATI then rebadges them.
Thats why Sapphire are amongst the first companies to have a new ATI product on the shelves.

I stopped being lazy and made a more sensible google and found they all use the same 2.8ns samsung chips.

actually in just the last coupel of days i've noticed several sites bringing their cards down in price, to much closer to the crucial price and are now a lot more competitive. a couple weeks ago many sites were just taking the piss e.g. selling the crucial card at £350 and similar for sapphire etc. I guess production/supply has got better around here, waiting until monday just incase crucial drops price a touch (wait will only be 1 day extra).
