correct... looses the 3870x2? neither card is out yet. And I cannot imagine HOW it could loose to it consider the 8800GTS whoops the 3870... Unless the crossfire implementation is way way better then SLI...
 
IIRC, I saw some benchies somewhere and yes the 3870x2 was like 17k 3k06.

Something about the Xfire architecture scales better than SLI too, or so I hear.

Splitting 16x to 2 8x isn't going to be a problem IMO. We're not even using 8x bandwidth anyways; we weren't during AGP days and very little has changed.
