9800GTX or 8800GT's SLI

What would be better for say 1680x1050 with max AA and AF on most games, a single yet to be released 9800 GTX or 8800 GT's in SLI? Forget about the 9800GX2 I don't care for that card...

Depends on what games you play.

If you want consistent performance with all games go for the 9800GTX, if you play a lot of games which scale well with SLI and you are aware of the limitations in the technology the 8800GT SLI option will work out better for you.

Oh forget that then. I think about getting a single 9800 GTX with my stepup. It would cost me like $30 to stepup to a GTX...

I agree. I am also getting a 9800gtx when they come out on newegg. Also getting the 9800gtx gives you the chance to sli it later if you so choose too.
