Hey,

I haven't been able to find benchmarks for this card (9800gt 512mb)

if anyone has any comments or benchmarks of this card please let me know....

and the make foxconn does it make good graphics cards or are they rubbish ?

I guess you haven't even tried to find any reviews about it, because the web is full of them. Also, you could look into any 8800GT benchmarks, because there is no difference whatsoever between a 9800GT and 8800GT.

Why foxconn? I'd stay away from them. 9800gt is same as 8800gt and you can find reviews on either if you just google review and the model you want. What would you like to compare the 9800gt to? Looking at the price points, it's similarly priced to the 4830 so it's probably better to go for that. Or spend $30 more for the 4850.
If you are getting a good deal from someone ($80 or less), then it might be worth it.
Of course, we need to know what games you are using it for and at what resolutions.

Well I have a 22" LCD and it's highest resolution is 1680x1080 (I think)
i play all kinds of games. But at the moment I'm having problems with playing GTA IV and I really want to start playing it.
And I wasn't searching for reviews I was searching for benchmarks.

So do you suggest I upgrade now or should I wait till the next cards come out ?

If you've read reviews of GTA4 you need a quad to play it. Even a highly overclocked dual can't play it on high settings without many hitches. Even a GTX 280 won't be able to play it on high with stable fps without a quad. Also I don't know of any review for any type of computer component that doesn't have benchmarks in it. You should be able to play it with all settings on low with your comp. If you overclock your E8400, it would be a lot better if you get the 9800GT. You should easily be able to get it to 3.6GHz.

Better yet, you can get a 4870 512MB (perfect for 16x10) for like $165 after rebate at newegg. Check the Hot Deals forum for details (I think there's a coupon code involved also).

whats the price difference between the two cards ?

Go look from where you're planning on buying from. 🙂 Radeon 4850/GeForce 9800 are pretty decent cards for a 22" monitor.
