If that is true, I'm really starting to dislike Nvidia. They are selling us just renamed cards instead of new gpus? I really hope ATI comes back this year with something very fast that will make Nvidia work again.

Well if those benchmarks are right very little reason to wait for a 9800GT the 9600 SLI and even the 8800 GTS 512 is right on those benches. even the ATI whooped its ass..

Yeah you should hate a company who gives you excellent cards that play every game out there at max settings and have amazing options for SLI. Gee, I miss so much the days where you needed to pay over $400 and break my PSU to get decent performance, yeah, can't wait.

What the hell is wrong with people? The 9 series are great, they are cheap and have excellent performance and SLI is much more feasible than before, briging tri-sli to less expensive cards is even better.

nVidia's push for tri-SLI is quite obvious. I mean why ship a proper high-end single card when they can sell you three inferior mid-range ones instead?

From what i can tell, this is disappointing to enthusiasts wanting faster cards. However those cards often come with a hefty price tag and not everyone likes to give their wallets a beating of their life time.

I do reckon that this time its the mid range/bang per buck people being awarded since these cards are much much cheaper. Perfect for those with the 8800GTS640/320 or with older cards to jump to 9600GT/9800GT and even the 9800GTX at affordable prices.

8800GTS 640 performs very similar to a 9600GT, I don't know anyone who would do that switch.

Just like the 3870 and 3850 are more or less revisions of the 2900XT and 2900 Pro, the 9800 family is also a revision of the 8800 line. Similar performance, more x-fire/sli options and less power used (between 8800GTX and 9800GTX anyway). At least Nvidia have a real "600" series card. The 9600GT is almost as good as the "800", while the 3650 is still value based.
