I bought this 9800XT from some. It took me like 1 month to install it and now I seeing some pixel errors. IT only happens in 3d applications (games mostly). I was able to live witht eh few errors I since it was my fault not installing i quicker. But now i using it in a Vista test machine and since and now i see the errors all over the place.

Is thier anything I can do to fix pixel errors. Maybe if i underclock the card?
Speed is not an issue as much as I just need any video so i dont have to use the on board card.

Thanks for any help.

If the card was OC'd when you received it, it could definitely be the source of your problem. I have a 9800XT that is very sensitive to clock adjustments and if I take it too high, I definitely get artifacts. But it's easily remedied by lowering it to acceptable speeds.

If you're not too concerned about speed enhancements, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't just be able to set it back to stock speeds and leave it at that. If you're still getting artifacts at stock speeds, then it sounds like you may have bought a faulty card.
