9800 Pro vs Non Pro?

Is the only difference the memory speeds? Or are there software differences, etc...
I am running a Ti 4200 right now and it stumbles with BF 1942. I have HL2 on pre order and want to be able to play it to it's fullest.

Only memory speed difference.

If you want to play HL2 at it's fullest, the 9800 may not be the fastest thing out there if it's delayed all the way until April '03 (both Nvidia and ATI will have new cards out by then). But if it does manage to get out by this christmas, the 9800 will be the fasest thing for it (besides the 9800XT).
 
The cores are exactly the same and both programmed exactly the same.

The difference:

5-10 FPS .
 
Another question
Are the "built by ati" (oem?) cards as good as the regular ati cards or are they the same thing?
