9800 pro to xt

I've been doing some reading and it seems that an R360 core and Hynix memory are the things to have to flash your 9800 pro to an xt. I have the hynix memory, but an R350 core. I will be getting a vga silencer rev 3 in a couple of days, so I was wondering if it was worth it or not. Comments? Thanks.

Sure

STUDY (that means read carefully or you will destroy your card) THIS:

The Radeon 9800 Pro To Radeon 9800XT Mod Guide Rev. 4.0!

Do not . . . repeat . . .DO NOT flash a r350 core to ANY XT. 😛

. . .

. . . unless you are planning to upgrade to ANOTHER video card. 😉

That doesn't have the correct looking heatsink to be an r360 core.

it's kinda hard to tell from pictures . . . 😛

the way to be CERTAIN is to remove your HS and look at the core - it will state "r350" or "r360" 😉

the performance increase of a 128MB pro into an XT is much less than the 256MB ver > XT. Also - even if you DO have the r360 core, you will have NO thermal temperatures nor Overdrive (as with the 256mB ver) . . .

if you are SET on flashing, then CONFIRM your r360 core or forget the flash. 😉
