9800 pro problem

I have a built by ati radeon 9800 pro 128. I've only used it for a few months now and never overclocked it or have done any mods to it. It played hl2 and other games fine. Recently I've noticed little lines or white specs on cs source while playing. I updated to the newest driver from ati and that still doesn't help.

What should I do to find out what is the problem?
