9800 Pro or 5700 OC??

Im building my wife a computer and orderd her the nvidia FX5700 oc. I got to noticing that it had higher clock speeds then my 9800 pro. I know the 9800 pro had 256bit DDR ram and 8 pipe lines. Need alittle help on this one. Thanks!!!

9800 pro easy. 5700 on nitro still is a low end card.

Definite downgrade from 9800P to 5700anything, not even Doom3 will have an improvement.

ALways been an AMD fan and after i read TON of reviews the 3000+ seemed to be the best bang for the buck. Now i have it over clocked to 2.4 GHz....time to update profile.

It also depends on how the architecture is made and AMD by far has the best architecture, that is why even though their clock speeds are that of a p4 their performance is and even better. 🙂

Russian is making a point. In your first post, you said that one reason you're considering switching is the clock speeds are higher on the 5700. Case in point, clock speed doesn't matter.
