I dont think a lot of you ever seen This card it is a test version 9800 with 2 Gpu's it just never made past testing

Now this is a card that can use 256mb of ram :)

I doubt it. ATI will either do SLI themselves or nothing at all IMO. A big, long, complicated dual chip setup like this isn't for the mainstream market, and it's against ATI's slender power-light (compared to Nvidia) image at the moment.

The $500+ market isn't a volume money maker for either company; it's more of a gimmick than anything (although many people here are trying to justify $800 GT SLI setups as 'reasonable' to themselves...).

No, they can't "just change" this because there is a big "magic wand" shortage... I blame TSMC ;) .


In the future (ie beyond next year), CPUs may get a bit of a bigger load because of the doors dual core will open up, which will give developers essentially twice the CPU processing power as before.
