Just wanted to brag that my buddy works at ATI and I'm getting a 9800 PRO for $275 Can all inclusive. Might buy 3 or 4 and post some 9800 Pro's on here cheap cheap for some lucky forumers.

when Radeon 8500 came out i bought it the following week from dad's friend who helped to program the Drivers for ATI cards (wow and i remember the drivers sucked major ass back then -- and he worked for the ati driver team? haha) Well I got my Radeon 8500 for $250 with tax (i remember he was telling me ATi employees get 50% discount and can buy a certain number of cards at this discount, but i think it was something like 10 cards!!!! maybe i am wrong, it definately sounded like too good of an employee deal)

but either way i was so happy since it costs like $550 cdn on the market

As a side note, Ati drivers are improving and my dad's friend GOT FIRED from the job. However, smart people dont just get good jobs for nothing. He recently got a contract with Sony and went to work for them in Japan -- he made $60000 in 3 months ( i couldnt believe him!!!) I believe he was helping Sony program something for their new Clie. Well anyways, the point here is that regardless of how smart some people are, in the end each person is very very good at only 1 specific thing or a few for that matter (ATI Drivers wasn't his thing).
