9800 pro dual monitor setup?

I was about to get the following 9800 pro

however, on the back it, its got one monitor out.. then it looks like the s-video in, and also a digital out there? however it also has a converter there... with the converter can I have a dual monitor set up running on it? (what i had planned on doing) and will the software support it?

Yes.

The vid card has a VGA & DVI outputs.... If you need two VGA outputs, just use the DVI-to-VGA converter.

And yes, Windows will support it 😀

Fergot to mention, that S-Video port is actually an S-Video out..... Hook it right into your tv

ah, very nice 🙂 and finally my last question... okay so i've got 2 lcd's now and they are both hooked up to the graphics card... now im playing counter-strike on lcd A and i've got aim and browsing the web on lcd B...

i now connect through s-video the graphics card to my tv.. which monitor does it display on the tv? will it display the one thats connected to the left hand input (and i guess the primary?)... the one playing counter-strike?

I believe (**I May be Wrong Here**) that the S-video can serve two purposes in your setup....

It can either act;

A) As a completely seperate monitor (i.e. a Third)
B) Mirror the primary

Someone correct me if im wrong please 😀

i was under the impression it could only mirror, not act as a third independent monitor since there are only 2 ramdacs.

You may very well be right. What if one of the other monitors was disabled though, then would it be able to act as an independant monitor along with only one other?
