9800 pro - dual display ?

I want to use dual displays with the radeon 9800 pro....i have it working but its extending the desktop and i want it to clone the first monitor (like the nvidia nview)....any ideas?

control panel \ display properties \ settings in the top line where it says DISPLAY: open the drop down and select the second display. then below that should be a check box for "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" . check accordingly. not sure if this will do it but it's all i can find so far.

yeah thats all i have found too...just the extend desktop....i cant find a way to clone the first monitor to the second

do you have the ATI control panel installed ? try display properties \ advanced \ overlay
at the bottom is "clone mode options". that loks like it might do it.

When I go to that it says something about having to be in dual-controller clone mode and the clone settings are greyed out.

just curious, why do you want 2 of the same thing on the monitors?

You can install Hydrovision, UtraMon, and/or PowerStrip and give it a shot

alright i will try those....i want to edit pictures and show the pics im editing to other people at the same time...so i can see and they can see

ok on Hydravision i didn't see anything for mirroring displays....ultramon did but its not free...any other suggestions?
