O.k. I broke down and did it. I have an ATI 9800 Pro on its way to replace my Geforce4Ti4200. My real concern is how to make the swap. What is the best way to go about getting rid of the Nvidia drivers so I have a clean install for the 9800 besides reformatting the hard drive? Does anyone have a good link for step by step instructions on going about this? If it makes any difference the OS is XP Pro. Thanks in advance for all your help!:)

changing cards isnt that big of a deal. you would never have to reofrmat unless you are having other problems.

just uninstall the nvidia drivers, shut down, change cards, install ati drivers.

the above worked for me (with a 9700). none of the detonator destroyer messing or anything. just uninstall nvidia drivers, old card out, new card in, new drivers in. worked for me and everything's fine. I didn't even delete any nvidia folders until everything was back up. for starters, do that with some driver cleaner if you'd like. fresh install is always the last option IMO.
