9800 Pro Bootup Problem

I recently replaced my 9200SE video card with a 9800 Pro which works great except for one thing. I completely power down my computer each night. When I get up in the morning and turn the system on, it POSTS normal and I see my Asus motherboard logo screen. Then the monitor goes out and nothing! It's like the computer freezes at that point. I then turn the computer off and back on and it boots up and works fine. I've had 2 other video cards in this system and I've never had this problem with either of them. Does anyone have any clue what might be wrong.

Does the card have it's own power cord, or is it sharing power with something else? If it's sharing, try giving it it's own power cord.

I have recently replaced an 8500 with a 9800Pro and didn't experience any problems. When you replaced your 9200, did you uninstall the ATI aps (driver and ATI control panel) using the add/remove programs applet in Windows control panel? Did you use 'DriverCleaner' to remove all traces of the old driver? Did you reinstall new drivers? If not, I'd start there.

Good luck..........
