9800 pro and cpu

am i severely cpu bound having an athlon 2500+ not overclocked and a 9800 pro?, i dont get the fps i expected when i bought this card, i have the 4.9 cats, 768 mb's ddr 3200, 20 gig hard drive(planning on a new one sometime) when i play really high level of detail maps in americas army with AA/AF maxed, 1024 768 res on normal graphics i sometimes drop to 8 fps!!!!!!!!!!!???????????, am i doing something wrong? i installed my vid card drivers on a clean install, same with mobo chipset drivers(biostar m7ncd)

Try running 3DMark03 and 3Dmark01 and Aquamark3 and post your results. You shouldn't have issues with a 9800 Pro and AMD 2500+ unless you have some other hardware issues going on.

other hardware issues? are there any specefics?, or could it be anything?, ill try those benchmarks tommorow, but can someone post links for me? please
