9800 GX2 HDMI screen Flashing

I just bought a 9800 GX2 EVGA card. I hooked it up to my 1080p TV through HDMI. It looks great but I get a random screen flashing when its turned on. Sometimes its every few seconds and other times it might not do it for a few hours. It is very annoying. The screen flashes black and then turns back on. It does not do this unless its hooked up by HDMI only. I know its not my tv because I have alot of other components I have used through HDMI. Do you think I have a bogus card or is this a known problem?
