9800 All-In-Wonder...which media center spftware?

I haven't owned an AIW in a LONG time. I just bought one recently and its going in my media-based PC. This is hooked up to my home theater (but is also a stand-alone system with its own display), and I've been using it to play back anime, movies, etc. as well as MAME and gaming when I'm bored. With the new input capabilities of the AIW, I'd like to add in some type of DVR capability now that I have cableTV coming in.

Beyond the Catalyst drivers, I'm curious if I need to install ATI's "multimedia center" download or if I should be installing something else that might be better? Any recommendations?

Well - a friend of mine had Sage TV 2.x, so I tried that out last night, but it didn't recognize the TV tuner. Downloaded and installed the 4.x trial, and it works great. I might just buy it...is there a better software alternative?

Again - does ATI's multimedia center need to be installed in order for other media center software to access the TV tuner?
