Question 980 and 2080 in the same build + power supply

I have a build (Threadripper 2 2990WX, 128 GB Ram) and currently a Geforce 980 gtx.
I have now bought a 2080 RTX and I am wondering:

- Can I actually keep both cards in SLI? I seem to have understood that Windows 10 + latest NVidia drivers, are able to make cards from different architectures / generations work together

- Will a 1300W power adapater will be enough/Safe with such a power hungry cpu, so much ram, and both cards together?

Thanks

SLI requires same card family, so no it would not work, at least not for games, though you could run compute apps on each card. Again this is not SLI though. 1300W should be fine for just 2 cards. It's plenty. Is that the EVGA gold supernova?
