98/XP Pro - same drive dual boot

i have xp installed, and i would like to dual boot to 98 because xp isn't running some of my games very well

how do i go about doing this?

The best way is to use fdisk to partition your hard drive. Personally I like to make 3 partitions -- the primary one [C:] for Win98, then another drive in the secondary partition for XP, then the last one for programs.

When you do a dual boot with 98 and XP, you MUST put 98 on the C drive, the primary partition. So install 98 first and THEN XP.

Or use Partition Magic to set up _2_ C: drives, and Boot Magic to choose which C: becomes visible at boot time. PM can even resize your current C: drive to make room for the new one, so you could leave your current XP install in place. Outpost.com has a deal on PM (which includes BM).
