98 not recgonizing FAT32 HD

Recently I formatted my HD's, both with FAT32. I installed 98 and XP on the same partition (I know its a no no but I can't get 98 onto the other partition). XP recgonizes both HD's, but XP only recgonizes the HD its on. I am sure the HD is FAT32. Anyway to fix it so 98 see's it? Thanks.

did you do 98 first ?

<< XP recgonizes both HD's, but XP only recgonizes the HD its on. >>

you meen 98 can't see both drives ?
good luck

With what (program) you formatted your HD's? I've seen incompabilites between FAT32 partition written under Win95 (Win98 said it to be "unknow file system"). Maybe sth. like that is happening with WinXP, too.

<<but XP only recgonizes the HD its on.>> <== don't understand.
The best way to format your HDD with FAT 32 is using the Manufacturer's Utilities Software.
How big is your hard drive and its partition(s)?

win98 had some issues with fat32X that XP does not... if I had to guess its fat32X not fat32.

not sure how to convert them, maybe partition magic, just never had a reason to check.
