--Truck has stalled two different times on startup last week. Restarted fine with no further issue. Had been pretty low on gas, but not crazy low.
--Put in half a tank yesterday, and as I was leaving the lot, it stalled out again. Turning over strong, but at best would just stumble a bit. Locked it up and went home.
--Went back today to listen for the fuel pump. Bang on the tank with a mallet. Turned key two clicks, if I'm under the truck I can hear the pump spool up for 1 or 2 sec and stops (clicky whirring sound, then it stops).
--Cycle the key a few times then try to start it up. I can get it to run for almost a minute before it stalls. Go through that a few times.
--I'm able to drive it home (2 blocks). Stalled once on the road and then in the driveway.

I'm leaning towards a fuel issue. Any thoughts?

Who makes a good fuel pressure gauge?

Turns out Autozone will loan out a fuel pressure test kit ($160 deposit).
Hooked it up and the only way I could get pressure was to bang on the tank. I could actually keep it running if I kept banging on the tank.
So for me this confirms a fuel pump/filter issue. Ordered a new pump from JEGS, will be here tomorrow. Thought about having it towed to a shop, but after a few $600 quotes I think I'll tackle it myself.
