It's all personal taste. Out of the box LS1 based cars are definetly much faster (especially the 94-98 GTs) but given the choice I'd pick the GT

F-Body LS1

Faster, bigger inside, more comfortable, better gas mileage and the red neck image !!!!

Add usually cheaper also and lower maintenance.

Depends on what year Mustang. If it was a 98 GT vs a 98 F-body I would get the F-body. If a 99-2002 I would get the GT.

Tacky dash, ugly interior, terrible seating positions. Sorry just showing both sides of the argument for a F-body. 😛

I like the dash and interior !! (Could be better quality materials though). Seating position probably depends on your size so that fits me also. (5'9" and 165)
