Crossfire isnt an issue, im just sticking with my ol faithful 7800 GT. Ill never put it in SLI either, so I am not looking at waiting for an Nforce chipset.

Planning on getting a E6700 (maybe E6600) after the dust settles.

and for RAM -

Brand Patriot
Series Dual Channel
Model PDC22G6400LLK-------------- Are these Micron chips?

Im pretty interested in OC'n, since this wont be my main pc, still keeping my A65 3500+ system going with a new budget vid card.

So I need a good platform to start some very tame OC'n, nothing major at all until I know that I know what I am doing 🙂

The 965 is supposed to have a better memory controller, but the benchmarks show different.

Thanks all,

BTW, first post X_X

I am also looking for a good overclocking single gfx card board for conroe. I have heard about asus and biostar coming out with good ones, though I have not seen them for sale as of yet.

what about the 965 Gigabyte boards, i hear they will be relatively cheap and perform well when OC'ing.
