True, there are small differences between the setups (FSB and multis), but CPU speed was close enough.

You can see an impact between 15% and 24% for going from the 975 to 965 when running SLI with hacked drivers.
For comparison, when my 7950GX2 is clocked to 600GPU/700RAM, I get around 9600 3DMarks06 on my first Rig (now a 975 board, E600 clocked at 3.4GHz).
