I recently purchased a Ti4200 64 meg card from MSI, and was expecting to get around 8000 marks.... I was surprised. I overclocked the card to 590 memory/ 305 core and earned 9722 marks. This is a spectacular feat considering I have an Emachines computer!
Have any of you received better results albeit, with similar rig specs?

That sure does seem alot for XP1600+ and Ti4200 system. You didn't overclock your CPU?

I just bought a MSI 64MB GF4 Ti 4200 today.... I was impressed with its performance... without overclocking the card, I got 9869 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=5874944, now I'm running the card at 305/300, and got a score of 10596. I'm running my 1600+ at 1.51GHz (FSB 144). Quite a big difference from my Kyro II that was in there before, scoring ~3500!

Cheers

Considering your system specs. Here's what you can do. Try running your GF4 on battlefield 1942 / MOHAA: spearhead (both only on medium settings), then see if your system really is worthy of your 3dmark score.

Welcome to Anandtech. A good overclocking Ti4200 is very fast for the relatively small cost.
