Maybe Im doing something wrong but my desktop settings max out at only 1600X1200?!?! In my display settings it shows my 1) Display Hitachi CM751. Then it has option 2) saying defaut monitor with many more Higher resuloutions? Can someone tell me how this works or why it has 2 tabs?

Thanks!

Same thing here, the second tab is just BS since you dont have another monitor plugged in. If you did, it would change, and also matter. Don't pay any attention to it.

Well I though it was for a second monitor also. But I thought I changed some of the settings and it changed my desktop too? Im sure I just need or hoping to learn more about ATIs control panel. Surely there has to be away to change the desktop settings higher then 1600X1200 if not that sucks. Im not use to running games higher then 768X1024 🙂, but when I do it makes my screen out of synce. I hope I can adjust it using the monitor the same way like the desktop. Its my first night with the card and already have a million more questions using ATIs control panel I'll just have to do more reading somewhere on ATI's control panel.

The highest resolution your monitor can support is 1600x1200, so thats why you cant go any higher. If you have any other questions, dont hesitate to IM me at Smartboy603, or email me.

A little off topic but I just bought the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro and did a clean install of Windows XP Pro. Installed Direct X 9 and the ATI Catalyst 3.0. All the games seem to be running OK but the only thing I notice is when I'm playing Rocket Arena for example, someone isntant messages me (Trillian), the game begins to stutter really bad. Is anyone else experiencing this? Seems like a small bug. The 2.5 drivers don't have this problem though.

Excelsior is correct I read the samething over at Rage3D, turn off IAM or any other instant messaging program and it should fix your problem.
