9700 Pro's

Should I go with the ATI 9700 pro($299.00) over at Best Buy or the Sapphire 9700 Pro($311.00) at googlegear? It sucks that newegg doesn't have any 9700 Pro retails 🙁

Call around to all the Gamestops in your area. They are discontinuing the graphics cards and are dumping 9700 Pros (ATI) at $259. Then price match to Best Buy for 30 day protection in case another good deal comes up (maybe on the 9800.) That's what I did Friday.

Yep, that's where I got mine last month. Got tired of waiting on the 9800. I walked in to check on a game title and walked out with a video card 🙂 . Got to start leaving that credit card at home.

I was wondering why the Saphire 9700 pro costs more than the ATI AIW 9700 pro?? Is it because of the fanless heatsink on the Saphire...is that why it costs more??

The Saphire is at $359 at newegg and the AIW is at $356. Not a huge diffreence, but I thought it should be the other way around. Where the AIW would be a lot more than a standard 9700 pro.

They are the same card, Sapphire makes ATI's cards. Go with BB, its cheaper and ATI is probably easier to RMA to if you have a problem.
