I am the proud new father of an atlantis 9700 pro after upgrading from a GF3 Ti 200. I deleted the old Nvidia drivers, install the new card and immediately crank up everything I possibly could. I decided to see what improvements were made by launching Americas Army and what would you know, its a new game. Everything was going great for the first 30 minutes when I noticed I was starting to get a weeee bit weeezy. I had been running the Ti200 at ultra low settings to help make the game a bit smoother. Not only did it make the game smoother but it also made it feel "slower" due to the lack of detail and texture the feeling of movement and motion was considerably less. That became very obvious after spending some "get to know you time" with the new card running at 1280X1024 with AA and AF cranked and with game settings set to ultra high. Everything looked great! But every crack in the wall, every floor tile, every small detail took its toll on ole Blooze's eyes and pretty soon it was time to revisit Mr's Blooze's home cooked meal. YEHAWWWW! lol. I haven't had this much fun getting sick since the state fair when I was 12 years old and riding the "gravitron" lol.
Just a quick note to all the Tech Turds that hang out here.
Thanks for all the help. My 2500, NF7, and my gig of kingston should be here tomorrow. I was able to steer away from several pitfalls by stumbling onto this site a few months back. All without ever asking a question. There is a pile of knowledge here and it has been a great resource.
Catch ya later,,,,,,,, I gotta hurl!!!!!! WOOT!
