9700 Pro Clock Rates

I just got a 9700 Pro today and I am wandering the default clock rates.

Here is what shows up on mine:
Core: 324
Memory: 290

Which is exactly what was on my Radeon 8500 before I changed, atleast I believe it was.

Memory Speed 310MHz DDR

Any idea why it was showing the other? I was viewing it using the Omega drivers Advanced 3d - Clock Rate area... Seems like it would show what is default with the card...

BTW, it was Radeon 8500 LE 128MB

R8500 is 275/275.

The 9700P should be at least twice as fast. :beer:

Did you buy the card new or used? AFAIK the 9700NP came at 275/270. It's possible that the previous owner flashed the BIOS to 290 for some unknown reason. 😕

Bought it new. It is an ATI Radeon, not Sapphire or any of that.

The default clock speeds are:

324 Core
310 Memory

Some cards were sold as Pros with slower memory so if you didn't read the fine print you ended up not getting a true Pro. Crappy deal.
