9700 Pro Built by ATI

I am considering selling off some stuff I have sitting around to pick up one of these - got to compromise with the wife 🙂.

Anyway, I am having difficulty finding a "built by ATI" card online. I thought I would be able to find a good deal online rather than paying retail prices. I really don't want to mess around with an OEM card if I am going to drop that kind of money on a card.


Why can't I find them? For example... Newegg, Outpost, or Googlegear don't even list a 9700 Pro except for the AIW or OEM models. Mwave wants more for the regular 9700 Pro than they do for the AIW 9700 Pro.

Go to your local Fry's Electronics, BestBuy, Circuit City, CompUSA or even ATI.com itself... it's $299 in all of those places. If you look at the FS/FT forum... some people are selling their Built by ATI 9700s for more or less ~$250. 🙂

9700pros may only have been produced in limited quantities in anticipation of the 9800/9800pro.

I got the last one at my local BB for $299.00. Man, I love this card. I run 2 monitors with it and compared to my VT G3 it kicks ass and looks good doing it too.

Why not just get the All in wonder from mwave then? its better... and it is built by ati check their website here
