I just got a new motherboard (Asus K8N) and CPU (A64 3000+) and RAM... and when I go to put my Radeon 9700 Pro AIW in it, it powers up, then instantly powers off (less than a second).
If I do not connect the little floppy power cable to the Radeon, it powers up and gives a BIOS error telling me to connect the additional power cable. After I do that, it will not boot up (it does the power on/ power off thing).
2 other video cards work fine in it, but they do not require the extra power connector.
My gut tells me that the PSU is bad, although it is a brand new Antec case and 400W Antec PSU. (Almost every problem I have seen that concerns power, always ends in the PSU being bad)
What do you guys think?
