Heres a kicker for you techys. I bought 9700 "pro" off ebay but sticker says "radeon 9700" on back.

well I installed a zalman 80c heatpipe cooler with fan kit and then i oc
it to 375.....no biggy right...but then when i benchmarked it there was
speckles all over the screen during the benchmark so I shut it down and
put it back to stock speeds and it seemed ok. gaming seems to be ok except I
can see a few small white specks on the screen kind of moving. but when i play
divx video or dvd i get green fragments flickering in the film. tried two
diff drivers and two diff computers....same thing. changed it out for a
9200 and as well a ti4200...and they both are fine. A guy I know here told me
that the symptoms are alot like the ones you might have with a bad bios
flash or something. the card however was ice cold during all the tests I
did even oc'd.
my little white sticker clearly says "radeon 9700" and the guy said it was
oem but another guy here told me ati didnt sell any oem of that card and it
had to be a third party card to be oem. So I think the guy bought a retail 9700 non pro and flashed it
and then sold it to me as an "oem 9700 pro built by ati".

what do you think

same thing happened to me when I bought a refurbished radeon 9700 pro. A real radeon 9700 pro will say radeon 9700pro. The card you got is definately a non pro.
