9700 AIW video capture question

Does anyone here who owns a 9700 AIW know if it is possible to capture the S-vid out signal simultaneously as you play a full screen Powerpoint presentation?

I am looking into different capture options for video as I want to take a PowerPoint presentation and convert the thing to a DVD movie that will play on a set-top box. I need to capture the full screen vid to AVI first, but I am investigating possibilities here.

I tried Camstudio and it did not provide the quality I was after so I need a different option. It will probably involve hardware of some kind.

The best way is to have a program capture it at 30fps in screen shots. The next way is to get another computer with capture or with svideo out and do it like that. If you have a laptop, use it since it'll save moving a computer.

So you are suggesting that a software capture is the best method then?

I always thought some form of hardware capture was best. The trouble is getting it to all work seamlessly.

Use a program like Camtasia to take a screen "movie" direct into AVI.
