Seems the compressor is locking up when I shift? I had a buddy look under the hood while I gave it some gas (in the driveway). He said it looked like the compressor was stopping for a second, which obviously is causing the belt to make some noise. Only happens when I press the clutch in to shift... any thoughts?

Possibly electrical. The A/C clutch will disengage in most cars under high RPM, and the only linkage I can think of between the transmission clutch and the A/C clutch would be electrical.

Great.. I dont even know where to start looking. I guess I can follow some lines and see if I notice anything. Could a blown fuse cause this?
