I plan to build a system on or before Oct 1, 2006 using the following components. Does anyone know if it will be worth it to wait for the C-2 stepping of the 965 chipset? I have carefully researched the compatibility of the DS3 and the G.Skill ram modules linked below, and it seems like both the mobo and the ram work with each other, and both are known to overclock well.

The C-2 revision is supposed to be released around Setp 14, how long will it take for the mobos at newegg and mwave, etc. to have the new chipset stepping? If they release the new stepping on Sept 14, does that mean it will take a while for the mobo manufacturers to start putting them on their boards, and then have that propagate to vendors, so are we talking a few weeks from the Sept 4 release to consumers actually seeing boards with the new stepping?

C2 problem is only for G965 chipset. Intel's specification update page show up to C2 for G965, while up to C1 for P965. Unless you plan to get G965, you really have no problem.
