Is there any difference in gaming preformance? I ask because I have both. I bought a new card for my HTPC Saphire Radeon 9600XT 256MB and want to know if I should switch it with the card in my main box (128MB ATI Radeon 9600XT) I game mostly on my main box Thanks

Assuming they are both clocked the same (500 core 600 mem) there won't be a difference. The 9600XT doesn't have the horespower to use 256mb of ram. (I own the Asus 9600XT 128mb version)

i would think the 256meg version has slightly slower ram, and that would limit frames.

256 is really only needed on 12 and 16 pipeline cards, like the X800 Pros and 6800s.

As Parartus said, the 256MB 9600XT may have slower clocked memory. The 128MB 9600XT's are 300 DDR (600).
